From 10 to 25 Beta Users: How Feedback Shapes Buddy with Me

Buddy with Me grew from 10 to 25 beta users. Here is what we learned about building a more helpful AI learning companion.

Last month, Buddy with Me launched with 10 beta users.

This month, we welcomed 25.

It is a small number compared with many education platforms, but to us, every new beta tester matters. Each student, parent, and educator brings a fresh perspective. They use the product differently, ask different questions, and show us things we might never see from inside the company.

That is why beta testing is so important.

When you build an AI learning tool, it is easy to focus on what the technology can do. Can it answer a question? Can it explain a topic? Can it guide a student through homework?

Those things matter. But what matters even more is how the student feels while using it.

Do they feel supported? Do they understand the answer? Do they know what to do next? Does the conversation feel calm and clear—or does it add more confusion?

Our first 25 users helped us see that students often need help with more than the answer. They need support getting started. They need help organizing a task. They need reassurance that asking again is okay.

That feedback is shaping how Buddy with Me responds.

We are continuing to improve the way our learning experience breaks down complex questions, guides students through next steps, and uses language that feels supportive instead of overwhelming.

Every new beta tester brings fresh eyes. Fresh eyes lead to better questions. Better questions help us improve the product.

We are not building Buddy with Me in isolation. We are building it with the people it is meant to support.
