Our founder shares why Buddy with Me began with just 10 beta users, what we hoped to learn, and why personalized learning support matters.
When we launched Buddy with Me, we did not start with thousands of users.
We started with 10 beta users.
That may sound small in a world where startups often talk about growth, downloads, and big launch numbers. But for us, starting small was intentional. We are building Buddy with Me to support students in deeply personal learning moments—when they feel confused, distracted, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start.
Those are not moments we wanted to rush.
Buddy with Me was created around a simple belief: students should not have to struggle alone just because they need an explanation more than once, a calmer way to begin, or help breaking a large task into smaller steps.
Our first 10 beta users gave us something much more valuable than a large number of sign-ups. They gave us honest feedback.
They showed us where the experience felt helpful and where it felt unclear. They helped us understand that students do not always need more information. Sometimes, they need fewer words. Sometimes, they need encouragement before they are ready to learn. Sometimes, they simply need someone to help them take the first step.
Every student learns differently. That is why we are not building Buddy with Me as a one-size-fits-all tool.
We are building it as a learning companion that can be patient, supportive, and personal.
This is only the beginning. Our first 10 beta users are helping us shape a better experience for the students who come next.
